Half-Day Cu Chi Tunnels Tour – Private Option

The tunnels are a great destination located 70 km northwest of Ho Chi Minh City Center. Cu Chi was known as the “area of steel” during wartime, and its 200+ km tunnel systems were considered an unbreakable underground village in the Vietnam War. It is legendary for its network of tunnels and remains a popular destination for both Vietnamese and foreign visitors.

Itinerary: 

Your private guide and driver will pick you up directly at your hotel at your preferred time. The journey to Cu Chi takes approximately 1.5 hours by private car.

Upon arrival, before entering the tunnel area, you will receive a brief introduction followed by a short documentary video explaining how the tunnels were constructed and how people managed to survive under extreme wartime conditions. Then, enjoy your time exploring the preserved sections of the tunnel system, including specially designed living areas with kitchens and bedrooms, as well as martial facilities like storage rooms, weapon factories, field hospitals, and command centers—everything needed to sustain life underground.

You’ll also see various hidden trapdoors and dangerous booby traps that were used for defense. After the tour, enjoy a serving of traditional tea and cassava—the food eaten by guerrilla fighters during the war.

Take a break for relaxation, or choose to experience real shooting at the shooting range (optional, with additional fee).

Afterward, your driver will bring you back to your hotel in Ho Chi Minh City. End of the trip.

Child Policy

• Children under 3 years old: Free of charge (no separate seat or services provided).

• Children from 3 to 9 years old: 80% of adult price.

• Each group of 2 adults may accompany 1 child under 10 at the child rate.

• The second child (under 10) and any additional children will be charged at 100% of adult price.

• If only 1 adult travels with a child, the child is charged as an adult.

Cancellation Policy

• Free cancellation if made at least 3 days before the tour departure time. (A 5% service fee applies for processing and refund handling — standard across all paid bookings.)
• Cancellations made at least 2 days before the tour will be charged 25%.
• Cancellations made at least 24 hours before the tour will be charged 50%.
• Cancellations made between 24 and 12 hours before the tour will be charged 75%.
• Cancellations made within 12 hours of the tour will be charged 100%.

• Pickup time is flexible and will be arranged based on your schedule and hotel location in HCMC.

• Infant rates apply only if they do not occupy a seat. Please inform us at the time of booking if you’re traveling with infants.
